Thank you all for your continued prayers. We think we may finally have an answer on what is wrong with Jonathan. His adrenal gland appear to not be working correctly. Some of you may remember when Jon had his very first surgery this was the one thing we specifically asked God to keep intact-it was the scariest thing to me to have to deal with. We have been blessed to have the last 4 years with it working properly. I am so thankful because had it not been I am not sure the last few years would have been very "surviveable".

Even now I feel like God is still answering this prayer. While the functionality of the glands has drastically slowed down they have not completely stopped. We will begin giving him meds that will act as the cortisol that our bodies naturally produce to help us deal with stress and sickness. I am hopeful that after a few days he will be feeling better and be able to fight the infection he has right now. Maybe he will feel better in the long run.

Also, a huge answer to prayer was that he definately does not have any infection in his blood.

Thanks for your prayers through this crazy weekend!

Its been crazy.... we got home yesterday afternoon. Three hours later the hospital called me and said he had a positive blood culture. So we went back down. At first they were going to admit him for IV antibiotics. Then because there was a question of contamination and maybe not a true positive (but his white count was 17 thousand after tw0 rounds of antibiotics) they decided to draw two more cultures, give him an antibiotic shot and send us home. Right when we were getting ready to leave his stomach started to hurt really bad so they had to do an x ray and urine test. They think the stomach ache is cramping and may be from a viral bug or something. BUt they still don't know what is going on. He has the drs all stumped. Around dinner time tonight they should know if the other cultures are poitive. If they are then they will probably readmit him. Thank you for your prayers. I will keep you updated.

Jonathan was admitted to the hospital today for "hypothermia"- its kind of crazy and weird diagnosis. We are not sure what is going on. In the past he has had occasional episodes where his temp. has fallen down to 94/95 degrees and he becomes sleepy and pale. This will usually only last for a short time and then go back up. Over the past 4 weeks he has been battling bronchitis and a sinus infection. In the past week his temp has dropped low 4 times. Last night he became very lethargic and cold- his temp was 93.7. This afternoon though he was falling asleep at the table waiting for me to put his shoes on. When I checked his temp he was so cold it wouldn't register. It was 92.2 rectally! I was instructed to call 911 and he actually went to the ER in an ambulance. It took 6 hours to get his temp up to 97.5. His heart rate is also affected somewhat- it kept dropping lower than it should be for someone his age.

No one knows why it is dropping so low. Everything else about him seems stable. Please pray that we can figure out the answer to this newest "Jonathan mystery". Pray for health for our whole family- everyone has been sick for the past month and we are unable to get all the germs to go away!!! This puts Jon at an even greater risk. I don't think he will be at the hospital long... unless his temp drops again. Hopefully we will have some better answers tomorrow.

Thank you for your prayers. I really appreciate it.
